Human Nature.
World Conflict.

Are we digressing as a society?
Is silence the answer to corruption?
No.
Then how come so many of us are ignorant to change?
Perhaps that's how we were born.
Maybe I think too highly of humans... of us.
...
Why are you always silent? Is it true? You say, 'I was born this way, so don't point fingers at me for not stepping up. I didn't choose to think like this; I'm not at fault!'
Do you not reflect?
Do you really believe this? Or do you think we're not all human? Maybe I'm missing something. What if it was you? Who would you call for help?
How can you ignore the deaths of hundreds of thousands and not step up? Do you think it's not your duty to respond to the conflicts of this world? Or maybe you don't care because it's not you. It is YOU.
You probably think your neighbor is not your kin. That your world will fall apart if you spoke up.
Speak up.
So many of us take our lives for granted. What if you got displaced? Who would you call for then? The current you isn't reliable—so what makes you think you'd act differently then?
Surely you have an excuse now—you always do. Don't tell me you're going to continue to ignore the genocides and turn a blind eye to the corruption? If not you, then who? If you don't speak up, who will? Wouldn't you want someone to speak up for you—to lift you up when you're down?
Maybe I'm jumping to conclusions, or maybe you're too self-centered to see yourself in that situation.
You probably think you have too much to lose. But what do you truly have? When you die, do you take any of your possessions with you?
Then why are you so stuck up on this world? Why is that keeping you from helping those that are in desperate need of aid?
